Our programming service reaches you digitally. We exchange data and CNC programs online. We program in Traunstein; you manufacture on your own machine, wherever in the world it is located.

Understand the task and machine
Send us CAD files, drawings, a sketch or a sample. We clarify the material, dimensions, quantity, machine, controller, activated interfaces, tools and workholding, then agree on feasibility and the services you need.
A scan or a sketch can also serve as a starting point. To convert it into a CAD model suitable for manufacturing, we establish the required dimensions and prepare the data accordingly.

We work from your existing CAD data or develop the required model, then plan the machining strategy and toolpaths around your machine and actual workholding.

Then set up the machine.
The digital model brings together the workpiece, tool, workholding, machine geometry and travel limits to identify potential collisions and unsuitable sequences before manufacturing.
Our recommendation: Also check the supplied program with a WoodMotion machine simulation at your own workshop, matched to your machine, tools and workholding.
Accurate source data and checks during setup remain essential.

Postprozessor & WoodWOP
We also support older machines and program versions, going back to woodWOP 4.0.
For HOMAG machines we use WOP posting: where WoodWOP supports an operation, the corresponding machining macro is output. For operations handled entirely by these WoodWOP macros, additional universal macro activation by HOMAG may not be needed.
Simultaneous 5-axis machining: activation required
For our simultaneous 5-axis machining programs, the WoodWOP universal macro must be activated on your machine by HOMAG. This interface allows us to pass the machining paths to your machine as pure G-code.
In our experience, this interface has been disabled by default since around 2008. The required activation is available from HOMAG at an additional cost: HOMAG item no. 6661 (“small interface”).

Local workshops can also use our tool shrinking and measurement service. Contact us with your tool, holder and required date.

The goal: the result you want on your machine.
For our program to produce the component you want on your machine, we need to work with the tools you actually use, including the holder and tool projection. Complete tool data provides the basis for suitable toolpaths, dimensional accuracy and the intended surface finish. It also lets us check whether machining areas can be reached and identify potential collisions.
Tool data for machines from the HOMAG Group: record each complete tool assembly, including its holder. Please complete the start sheet, the relevant tool sheets and the final acknowledgement. Include the current tool database from your machine where possible.
Ideally, share your wz_db85.txt / wz_db86.txt tool file with us in a cloud folder, updated automatically in real time where possible. This allows us to retrieve the latest tool data from your machine.
